Turmeric as hair product.

I vaguely recall reading somewhere about using turmeric on hair as a colourant. I can't find anything about now.

Anyone know if it is any good? Any links?

ruined as teatowels, perhaps, but they taste much better

I mix it into my henna and it turns the grey hairs a beautiful gold, so you end up with a very natural looking golden auburn. I usually mix the henna the day before, then add a good couple of heaped dessertspoonsful into the mix on the day I'm doing it.*

I've considered just trying to do roots or greys with turmeric in between hennaing, but am not sure enough that it won't just look nicotiney without the henna.

It does stain your scalp but only for a couple of days, and given that it's meant to be dead good for you anyway, I don't mind that.

I have been aware of tumeric tea in several supermarkets since this thread was started
