Tune ID

Elpenor

a clown’s heart and a mandolin
Techno, heard it a few times, played by Billy Nasty, most recently last night.

Remember a vocal or possibly a sample which went like this "they sent, they sent for you".

Can't remember any more details, cheers if anyone can help... :)

*fires up soulseek in expectation*

Don't know, but he's a bit harder than he used to be I believe, so perhaps not. I looked up his releases on discogs.com and none had a title much like the vocal/sample I remember...

Still a bit of a newbie to this really

No, in a club...

I was a little too out of it to get the trackname! I'll try and find any recent tracklistings online though

Well the most famous Billy Nasty track was the Acid Folk Bagpipes one.

But I dint think it had any lyrics in it as I remember

Bump :)

I've been getting every set off soulseek I can - hopefully there'll be a few recent ones with tracklistings...

Every now and then this comes into my mind and I am annoyed that I don’t know it.
I know Billy Nasty played it a few times at Checkpoint Charlie so would assume it was a regular part of his set. Am pretty certain the house DJs didn’t play

I have found and am listening to a Dutch set BN did on soundcloud which dates from March 2004 which I am hoping means it will feature. My OP was May 2024

Edit this may be from pre separate music forum so will report my original post

You may get lucky with this FB group, 'old skool tune ID' - the collecitve knowledge seems to turn up quite a lot of finds for ppl good luck!

I take it you need to have a facebook account to post?
I want to know the id to an 89/90 track with the lyric “are you ready to be the only lover in my life?” Male voice.
Also spoken word in the background “the establishment of a groove, a concept”

Please help <3

I’ll have a look at Facebook group thanks plurker

I have no idea what year it is from, so it may not be 88-94 era, but presumably folk on the group are the best people to ask in any case.

I heard it in 2004 but it’s possible he played older stuff at Checkpoint as he was very much a fan favourite at the night and had been playing there for years

I will ask for you if I remember danski
