Things that became a thing

I was just arguing with my much younger than me and much hotter than your girlfriend girlfriend about things that were cultural phenomena and why they worked
My go to example was Pulp Fiction. That wasn't just a film, there was a genre of films based on pulp fiction, music and comic books and art copied it. She was born in 1992 and she thinks that Harry Potter is that. I might dump her
But I was thinking about a list of these things that become things. Breathless is another one, it seems like all of the French 60s is about Breathless

Here is a picture of a woman

Gastropubs. They're a thing, and they didn't used to be a thing.
I hate them, that's why I chose the name
Even proper pubs, you ask for a Stella and they go 'we don't have any Stella glasses, is a normal one ok?'
Stella is a cheap shitty beer, I don't need a handle and a stem to drink shit beer, that was not my idea. I thought we were fighting climate change, I want it in a clay bowl
bastards

I think you may be confusing me for someone who gives a damn.

I tell you what is mad, James Cameron films always become a thing. That guy makes a film every 10 years and it is just a thing. Everyone says they hated Avatar now because it's so silly, but if you actually went to the cinema and didn't cry when they blew up the big tree, you are not my comrade
