The Guilford Ambient Picnic - 18th September

I went about 20-25 years ago. Was lucky as it was a sunny day and we had a great time. Went with a family of Yogurt Weavers who brought a nice picnic. We did slope off halfway through and went to the pub nearby but could happily have stayed all day.
If it was raining I would have been bored/annoyed I think but the music was relaxing and a good (as you would expect) vibe.

No sure why it says Millmead Island though, the hippy-dippy thing used to be in Shalford Park, about 300m further on past the Weyside pub. Millmead Island is a theatre and a car park.

I went a couple of times in the 90's one year, the pineapple tribe had a rig set up and that was pretty good, not all that ambient though.

If I remember it got sacked off in favour of Guilfest, nice to see it back and will probably have a wander down there.

A stall selling blankets, I would imagine. Are you in the market for a blanket? Would wash it first, bet it smells of hippy shops.

I've been to both Guilfest (well back in the day) and the Guildford Ambient Picnic -- also well back in the day! 
Once only in both cases,
Enjoyed both
But other festivals took over my ever-busy calendar as the years went by ....
