Minnie_the_Minx - I was one of the members of staff under said waterfall and I can assure you, that it was not an accident, but a decision to sacrifice the last scrap of dry clothing any of us had (two members of Vauxhall City Farm staff and a member of Lambeth security) for crowd safety. The roof had slipped off the frame and was filling up with water and looked like it might collapse completely, bringing the roof - and rather a lot of rain - down on everyone standing underneath said marquee and the only way to fix this was by two us lifting a third person up, to grab hold of and pull the marquee roof back into place, while a number of very kind lads pushed at the puddle from underneath, emptying it over us. Believe me, we knew we were going to get VERY wet and removed all phones and other non waterproof items from our pockets before going in, but it was something that needed to be done.
I was hoping there might be photographs somewhere on the internet, as it was a pretty hilarious moment and will certainly go down in Vauxhall City Farm history, so thank you for those!! If anyone has any more, myself and the other member of staff would love to see them!
And yes, Ben, Tom and Jerry are indeed alpacas and the sign was indeed an explanation of the difference between alpacas and llamas. They were sheared for a film project and will get a proper hair cut asap
