The dog thread is better than the cat thread, because it features dogs.

So sweet! Hope she is doing well.
Thanks, she’s doing great. Much less fearful, though she still needs to be carried out of the house for walks.
Housetraining is still an ongoing thing but she’s been much better this week as we’ve adopted a pattern of walks at 7,12, 5 and 9 whether she wants to go or not (and she rarely wants to go).

More personality becoming evident every day.

After eating raisins a month or so ago resulting in a £150 trip to the vet, Frankie ate an onion bhaji a week ago resulting in another £150 trip to the vet

Hopefully if you caught it early he'll be ok - it was about half an hour for Frankie and he's fine.

Frankie was woozy the first evening after being made sick then fine, second time he was fine straight away. And yep easy to make a mistake - I'm learning not to put food on the table even for a minute because the little fucker is fast and can reach

Vanlifing for the week.

Very cute dog, the carpet is almost in 3D though
Do your shoes stick to it slightly when trying to traverse it?
Not really, I think being in Devon they’ve probably just got some horrendous Axminster carpet end cuts dirt cheap (a friends dad used to do their books and apparently was partially paid in kind so every room at their house had a different garish patterned carpet)

Willow has kennel cough again. It's very mild, because she's vaccinated, but still cost me almost £100 yesterday to be told not to worry and some meds, which I suppose is worth it. It really does make me realize how good the day care she goes to is. I mean it costs us almost as much as our mortgage every month, but it's great dropping her off in the mornings and knowing that she'll have a good day and not be bored.

Woke up a 6.30 this morning to take her for walk (well away from other dogs). I started work at 8 and am about to go downstairs to make coffee and I know I'm going to feel really guilty as she'll go sprinting to the back door in the hope I'll go outside and play a game with her. She didn't get the memo she's meant to be ill.

It also felt slightly bonkers telling my colleague that I'll be working from home for most of the week as the dog is ill, but there you go.

Stinky dog has arrived for his holiday. 3 days earlier than expected…I booked a groomer/shampoo for his arrival day 4th.

So he got chucked straight in the shower with dog shampoo for an amateur grooming effort

The horrible shit still stinks, in fact probably smells worse now and damp

Will have to tough it out till the pro groomer sorts it out. I’m pulling up my carpets and stashing them so it doesn’t sink in to the rugs
