What gets to me is the assumption by the OP (not you, obviously) that these people are 'ordinary'. How fucking condescending is that? Every one of them is unique, extraordinary. You can't lump them all together as 'ordinary' :facepalm:
 
i remember some years back (may have been the 2012 or even 2002 jubilee) the guardian website had a one-button option for 'make all the royal shit go away' (or words to that effect)

I think her dress sense is terrible and always has been tbh. Like, to each their own, wear what you like as long as it's not nazi shit, but it's a ridiculous institution and these fuckers push it down our throats so I think it's fine to call bullshit. The corporate media love mocking what ordinary working class people wear.
