It's within the remit of umpires to stop dicking around intended to wind up the opposition. They don't intervene often, but they are both entitled to and, theoretically at least, expected to.

It's more clear-cut than sledging, I'd say, as it is physically putting yourself in the other player's way, on purpose.
And fielders have no business being anywhere near the batsmen between overs. It's a pretty simple one, I'd have thought for the umpire to step in straight away.
