Tablet to store/play music videos

sheothebudworths

Up the bum - no babies!!!
Erm... if I could find someone to d/l say 100-150 youtube music vids, is there any way I could load those on to a cheapish tablet for someone to easily play? If so, what tablet etc? Assume ignorance!

Most of the cheapo android tablets can't do much else but play video - if you stuck the videos on an SD card in MP4 format I'm sure almost any one could play them.

Thank you! So it'd just have to be a tablet with an SD slot? Could you enlighten me on that - the cheapest/best for that? :hmm: Examples?
What I want is something I can load it onto, which can be easily played back by someone else, when they won't have access to a power point, I guess (so a good battery life? Imagine single days of 9-5, max, between charging)?

8 hours video playback is pretty unlikely for a cheap tablet. Be lucky to manage half that.

Sorry, I meant it's for someone who will be having treatment for that long, each time.

I would like to load 50-150 youtube vids on something (and whatever maximum amount is possible - they don't need to watch them in one go), make it easy to play and without needing to charge for that duration.
Half, or a third, of that play time would probably be fine. (I knew this was going to be complicated - can you help me make it less so?)

As many vids as possible stored (50-150 for ref - can I not do that much? Can I do more?)

Something simple - it doesn't need to last for eight hours of play back (or whatever the fuck you call it) but I'd like it to last... three?
BUT the longer the better and the more songs/videos (/films?!) I can pile on, the better. They don't all need to be watched in one go but I only have one opportunity to load them, if that makes sense!

This free app makes it really easy to download YouTube videos, by the way

That is good, and doesn't throw loads of malware on your machine like other options BUT they're (predictably) starting to push it away from being free.

I'd be happy to pay a one-off reasonable fee for using it as it's really good, but will never sign up to any subscription deals.

It is good (I use it myself). But yeah, it just looks like the business model of offer something for free and then once the client base is there, monetise it. Which is fair enough I guess but I agree it isn't worth a sub.
