St.Kilda: Island on the edge

Here we go

how'd we get here so fast
Starts in about twenty minutes on channel 3 (scottish)
I'd quite like to visit st.kilda sometime. Apparently they have a deadly secret to unveil tonight ...

The st. kildans were polluting the environment and themselves by burning peat and fertilising the soil with dead fulmars. Thus, the view of them living at one with nature was false. Something like that anyway.

F*ck sake!! What were they supposed to do - have no heating and live off fulmar soup alone? And, just out of interest, did any St Kildans ever claim to have been living at one with nature ?

Edited to add: Sounds like a daft programme!

Pah, I'd quite like to have seen that but we can only get Border or Tyne Tees ITV here

Was my mate Donald William Stewart on it? He's done quite a lot of research on the St Kildans.

There was a great programme about St Kilda on BBC Radio 4...I'll see if there's a listen again link....

One of my old flatmates went to work on St Kilda, she was paid to count sheep.

Or maybe it was birds.

There are a lot of birds though, so it's probably sheep.

Or goats?

My brother went to St Kilda to count sheep, too. Maybe he knows your ex flatmate, dozzer?

My other brother (who is an Aussie citizen) has a St Kilda footie top, ChrisFilter. Maybe... <scratches head> ...maybe you are him. :D

What a crap deadly secret, I was hoping they were secretly building an atomic bomb or something...
