So, who's going?

Only me? that's no surprise there then :( but you'll miss Alabama 3 and apart from them a load of other bands I've never heard of. Oh yes, New Model Army  I've heard of them.

Anyway, I'll be dancing in a field if anyone else fancies coming. Wolfie's got sets in Dogs in Space and the Loveshack

Not paying £109 to maybe have to pay to get towed up a hill. Never heard of most of the line up either, sorry.

My old man will be playing some tunes in there at some point. 'appen we can say hello :D
yay pop by an say hi, if im behind the bar i will be the bloke with the dreads, will be at the love shack alot as friends of mine run it.

We were talking of going but I will be unable to make it, (recovering from surgery)
We thought the line up was pretty good and I know they might be a bit old hat but the NMA usually put on a good show.
Also the oysterband and afro celt sound system.
Hope you have a brill weekend.

We can't afford the ticket again. Fucking cuntsticks. I would dearly love to go as it's the festie that kicked off my love for all things small in the festie world, and I reckon the weather will be gorgeous.

New Model Army are total fucking WANK, mind. Could not believe quite how shite they were at Bearded Theory. Tumble-drier music - 'is it STILL going?!'

I wish you were going. I have happy memories of that first Solfest. Sugar chips anyone? :D

Just realised that you were at beatherder too :D

I have no idea what he looks like!

Anyhoo yeh - 'is this salt?'

'No, it's sugar, Shirl'

'IS THIS SALT?'

'No mate - it's sugar. Says there on the front'

'Fuck it, I'll just try it'

Ewwwwww :D

Aww...I've still got the Solfest 2007 wristband on ya know. What a blinding time I had. Every single second was just brilliant. Still remember Tort swaying sweatily over the rise at about 6am...blonde wig swinging from side to side :D:D

That wasn't sweat it was cider! ;)

just seen the line up for the house of joy, very excited now black star dub collective, nucleus roots and loads more wicked dub and reggae(going to have to plan my shifts very carefully as there are a few other acts i wouldnt mind seeing)

folk moaning on facebook about weak line up and high ticket prices, i think the line up is pretty good and lots of stuff i dont know that i would like to check out if i get a chance.

Have fun everyone who's going - really really wish I could be there. I even plugged it again on that radio interview I did, and specifically mentioned I didn't have me tickets yet. Was kinda hoping they'd have heard it...:hmm::(

Beautiful weather all weekend :D
The fantastic weather was an unexpected bonus. :) and it was very laid back this year. The only time I saw any security was early Saturday morning dealing with idiots and late on Saturday and Sunday nights helping people who had collapsed in heaps. Nothing heavy at all, a very chilled friendly festival this year.
Some nutters (about 6 teenage/early 20's lads) parked near us who played stupidly loud music whilst trashing their caravan at 6am on Saturday morning were the only downers. They were evicted off site by 7am and the trashed caravan towed away by 9.30am.
Music wise there wasn't a lot I wanted to see. Alabama 3 never disappoint and the Algerian House band in Dogs in Space on Sunday night were amazing. I listened to 10 minutes of New Model Army and 10 minutes of a few other bands that didn't really do it for me. Wolfie played in Dogs in Space and the Love Shack on Friday night, unfortunately I peaked a bit too early on Friday
Met some nice folk and for once I didn't see anyone from Hebden. Now I'm looking forward to next year, it will be my seventh but I've still not managed to achieve not peaking too early on the Friday. My cunning plan for next year is to go on the Thursday and get it overwith before the festival starts :D

edit. I forgot to mention the wasps. Thousands of them. They seemed to hang out in the camping fields though and I think the ones in our field had been eating overripe berries in the hedgerows. They were all a bit dopey :)
