What your net profit/ loss during the WC?

I invested a total of 75 , spread over a batch of games

ended up net 235 up

World cup started whilst i was abroad so didn't place my usual bets.

so broke even really all things considered...
had some sweats, some disappointments but added to my enyoyment... was down 300 at one point so feel great!

Had a free bet of £20 from 888, so put that on Germany to win @ 9-1

Obviously lost that

Put £10 on Holland to beat Uruguay 3-1 @9-1.....was 3-1 until the 92nd minute when Uruguay got their second consolation goal.

In the same game, had £10 Forlan to score 1st @ 7-1 - he scored 2nd and by about 4 minutes

Obviously lost that

In the office sweep I had Ivory Coast, Korea (the evil kind), and Holland

So kinda won that 'cos they pay out £8 rolleyes for 2nd

and in equal measures. Wife said "have you learnt a lesson now?" and I said "Yes, always bet on 3-2".

Up £15 after Spain winning tonight but after jinxing Lionel Messi and turning him from the greatest player in the world to Stuart Barlow by betting on him to finish top scorer, it's the moral victory of having got one right that i'm enjoying more than anything

I lost about $400 (£260) in several office pools. I just had this gut feeling at the start of the tourney it was going to be South America all the way (any SA squad, tho I was going for Argentina).

But then I'm a gambling addict. $400's a pittance to my psyche. Now that the WC's over, I'll be found at my local air conditioned casino, hiding from heat waves and skin cancer...playing blackjack...trying to get that four hundred back.

And I will.
