This is interesting to dip into, Sky News is 30 today, so using over 40 cameras they are broadcasting live behind the scenes to show how the channel's output is put together, currently it's an editorial meeting discussing what stories are going to be used, and how.

Sky News viewers are getting the chance to see how the news is made, with a day of special coverage offering unprecedented access behind the scenes.

Sky News Raw is being broadcast on its own pop-up channel from 7am to 5pm - 30 years to the day since Sky News aired its first bulletin.


Viewers can get a look of the inner workings of one of the most innovative, forward-looking news organisations in the country, including Sky's digital, television and radio operations.

Key editorial meetings, every element of the newsgathering process and live studio and outside broadcasts are all being shown on the special channel.
 
I love stuff like this. I’ve been inside Sky, the BBC and CNN and the element of hyper focused mission control with all the desks, screens and buttons never fails to fascinate me. With the exception of perhaps Sport, I don’t think there’s anything more exciting than live news, especially when there’s big breaking stories.
