Hello! I'm looking to sell a house I inherited after my grandparents passed away a few years ago. Since then my brother and uncle have lived in the house, however they're both planning on moving to chase after their careers, leaving the house empty. I want to sell it, as I will never live in it (commute to work would be huge and it's so far away from literally anything). I was wondering how tax works on property sales, as I earn not much under the higher tax band, selling the house would put me well into the higher tax band according to this site: [some site or another] Does it even count as income? I have a vague idea of what I need to be doing but not 100% sure, and was hoping someone here will have done this and knows more than I do, or can point me to some useful resources/people.
