Saturday night, decent Dublin pub

krtek a houby

Merry Xmas!
Been a while since I had a few scoops in a relaxing pub there. Usually my choices would be somewhere like Kehoes, Stag's Head, Nearys, Grogans, Long Hall, Toners, Foggy Dew.

Some of them are changed, utterly and a few mates say I should try somewhere "new". Any recommendations for those who live/or frequent Dublin these days?

Thing is town is always really busy now so you need to head out a bit further for a relaxing pub. My parents are down near the canal so we end up in Baggot Street, Doheny and Nesbitts or Toners (The bar out the back of Toners seems to be a bit quieter usually). However they are still close enough to town to get busy.

Next stop out for us would be Smyths on Haddington Road or I also like O'Briens near Leeson bridge. Depends how far out you want to go. May be a bit too far.

No, good call. Had forgotten about Smyths, wasn't half bad.
