Sarf of the River Vid 9 Elms Regeneration

'High Quality' architecture......whenever I hear that I get suspicious. The whole idea seems great but will turn out like ? Will the tube ever built.

What an awful puff sewage from the mouths of so many on that short vid.
Overall grand plans of this type, with its useless little spur of a tube, utter crap - its already busy as fuck south of Kennington, with this daft spur there will be fewer services
Not thought thru

They've got plans for 30,000 new people but no school - in Lambeth. Private Eye were also reporting that the usual requirements for "affordable housing" are likely to be lessened due to investment in transport infrastructure. The transport infrastructure isn't well thought out and doesn't address the already existing overcapacity at Kennington and Vauxhall. All in all, not a lot to benefit the existing people of the area.

Agreed having actually looked at the details, it's just going to be a huge set of flats for rich people. 'Mixed Use' developments , yes but for who? I can't see the logic of the northern line extension, better to build a whole new tube line from Battersea up to Hackney.

Northern Line Extension + Public Meetings

Here's a website about the Northern Line Extension http://www.northernlineextension.com/ & from the TFL website http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/media/newscentre/19950.aspx
& from the email
There is one thing that is not very clear from the consultation that you should be aware of. The consultation document shows a map of the ventilation shafts, including two temporary ones. They do not actually name their specific locations and they are not actually consulting on them at the moment.

The possible location of the temporary shafts are:

Radcot/Ravensden/Stannary Street area
Harmsworth Road area
The precise location of the shafts have not yet been agreed and residents will be consulted on them in the autumn in another consultation.
I have spoken with treasury Holdings and TfL about the lack of info in the press release and the fact the consultation document is not as clear as it could be and they have accepted this. Hopefully this will mean any further consultations will be better.

Finally if you wish to ask any questions about the plans you can come to one of the public meetings

Wednesday 18 May and Monday 6 June from 12:00 to 20:00 at the Acquire Arts Gallery, 155 Battersea Park Road, London SW8 4BU
Friday 20 and Saturday 21 May from 10:00 to 18:00 at The Long Room, The KIA Oval, Kennington, London SE11 5SS
Thursday 26 and Friday 27 May from 10:00 to 18:00 at Sainsbury's Nine Elms, 62 Wandsworth Road, London SW8 2LF

Or you can get in touch with Treasury Holdings at
Tel: 0 20 7501 0676
E-mail: consultation@northernlineextension.com
All the best
Steve
PS: If you maintain an email list can you please distribute this email in order to encourage as many people as possible to respond to the consultation.
