Anyone been, or can recommend an agent to go via?

Main purpose would be to see Elephants in the wild, anything else is a bonus.

Guided bus type thingy is probably the way to go.

Any advice and guidance? Best place to go? Rather than me googling blindly.

Will be a surprise for a friend who is elephant mad.

How long do you want to go for and what level of comfort are you after (overlanding on a coach with other travellers + camping, or hotel rooms and separate tour)?

I did 2 weeks back in 2010 in Tanzania and Kenya with this company Acacia Africa, it wasn't cheap but we got to see a lot of the Ngorogoro Crater and 2-3 days in the Serengeti, got some good pics and was proper close at times -

This was one in Hwange NP.

In the town of Victoria Falls you could see them stealing fruit from peoples' gardens!

Probably be more like ~7 days

Camping is probably fine with other travellers, a tour guide would be a must.

That website is useful, thanks. Exactly the kind of starting place I needed, loads of choice thou, so will have to narrow it down somewhat. At least I already have the suggestions from you guys.

Cheers.

Saw one just off the footpath when walking around Victoria Falls. Scared the crap out of me, it was about 10ft away!
The Falls are spectacular...you could combine with Botswana too where we saw lots of elephants on the Chobe River.
And much preferred the vibe of Zimbabwe and Botswana over South Africa
