Family confirm The Marvelettes singer Wanda Young has died at the age of 78

Wanda was one of the members of iconic Please Mr Postman singing girl group The Marvelettes. She died following a health battle with news of her death being confirmed two weeks after she passed.

Sad news although she had a very difficult life.

The lead singer on the Marvelettes' early hits was Gladys Horton. When they became a three piece the leads were first split between her and Wanda, and then Wanda did more of them.
