Extremely sad news today, which unexpectedly caused me to shed a tear or two. A true gentleman of the game, and a man who lived a great life and had amazing courage and dignity in death.

Yeah, I thought it deserved a mention here.

As the football side of his life goes, I do feel he was ultimately made the scapegoat for England’s golden generation not winning a trophy through little if any fault of his own. At any rate, a great manager.
