I met Geoff Capes once at some work thing in the early 00s when he was running a security company. He cornered me by the canapés and talked relentlessly about budgerigars. Christ he was boring. I couldn't wait to get away but I was there for work so I had to smile politely while he went on and on about fucking budgerigars.
