right - saw him twice this weekend, once a little instore, once at the Cluny in Newcastle (great venue, by the way)

he is fantastic live, really odd and charismatic, the band are brilliant and totally incongruous. He liked my shirt too

But he's so strange....

His voice and persona is dead sexy and confident and then when he talks he's the epitome of geek. Actually - that covers a helluvalot of musicians doesn't it?

He told a story about a snot bubble and pretended one of his tunes was the type of thing your dweebie room mate would sing to you because he wanted to share his feelings. He's a funny man - and couldn't understand the Geordie banter at all
