Bit late now, but Chuck Roberts passed away earlier this month:

The artist is best known for the "In the beginning there was Jack" lyrics on Rhythm Controll's 1987 single, "My House."

Have to admit I didn't know the name until now, but it turns out I am definitely familiar with his voice, and you almost certainly are too:

Yes, same for me, I didn't know the name but I saw a clip of him singing about Jack and Our House which I knew straight away.
