I am a bit dissapointed that his website does not seem to load for me atm, (I just saw some nice portraits but the rest of the page failed) perhaps too many people are trying to access it ..

Talking about him being a dick, I actually thought he was really good on that thing were the made a school using 'slebs..

Interesting, when he is taking photos of the students he is not using studio flash/es, rather he is using static light/s and reflectors which don't seem to look very bright. I wonder what shutterspeed / fstop / ISO he was shooting at.

Rankin was on BBC2 tonight in a program about a series of photographs he made of people with terminal illnesses which had been trailed on the radio before (see up the thread)

And again it interested me that he was shooting portraits with static hot lights rather than studio flash, he had two or three assistants holding hot lights and reflectors around the subject...

He had quite a team of people, must have cost a bomb, hair people, makeup people, assistants, backgrounds, plenty of props etc etc
