Queens Park Murder - man in custody

a 32 year old man has been detained in slovakia for the murder of moira jones in queens park. thank goodness they have someone for this. I havent (nor has my wife) stepped foot into my local park since it reopened and judging by how eirly quiet it has looked nor has many people. i hope that now someone maybe held responsible that the ghost of the park will be lifted and it can be enjoyed again.

i also hope that it doesnt upset the knife edge atmosphere in govanhill between the different communities too much and that there is no senseless tit for tat repercusions for innocent people that is racially motivated. The Slovak community get a hard time of it without any more aggrevation being created.

heres hoping that slowly the park will begin to become what it once was...

Always loved Queens park, lovely place to walk/laze of an evening... plenty of pubs nearby to wander to especially near the Shawlands X/Pollokshaws Road end.

Bellahouston, my local park, ain't as good sadly.

That's good. A lot of my extended family lives down near the park and I hear that people have been on edge since that happened.
