I know this topic will overlap with other threads, but basically see title thread.
My starting thought is no, it doesn't. Particularly when a PM oversees a culture of rule/law-breaking (or if a single incident is serious enough), they should automatically be kicked from politics altogether (I don't care whether they survive a vote of confidence within their own party), and additionally I would say opposition parties should be allowed to vote on triggering a general election.
