Pokèmon Go - what new local knowledge have you gained?

I used to walk the same boring six mile route every other night for a bit of exercise.

Now chasing Pokèmon about the place I've found landmarks and green spaces I never knew existed.

Apparently Borehamwood has a Beacon that was used as part of an alert system to warn of the attack by the Spanish Armada. They still light it for jubilees n stuff.

It's located at Woodcock hill where there was also a hut that formed part of the telegraph system in Napoleonic times.

There's a really missable sculpture by a car showroom. What it's doing there I don't know. Completely random. Very naff. Yet for some reason a Pokèstop.
