Luckily the oven on this cooker gets fucking ridiculously hot so it doesn't take long to cook and the basil doesn't dry up. Same as when I do it on the BBQ. Last cooker I had was nowhere near as hot and sometimes took 12-15 mins to do so I never cooked the basil on the pizza.Basil on afterwards.
