The dough would have to be very sweet, maybe a peanut sauce rather than tomato, sprinkled with cinnamon and brown sugar rather than oregano and pepper.... I'm sure that could be nice, but not exactly a pizza

I dunno. I'd quite like to try one with a decent bbq sauce (not a really sweet commercial one)
Syrupy domino's type shit is a definite no; spicier, less sweet ones can work in small amounts
Aldi do a char siu pizza atm that's pretty good

when i was a kid the local pizza place did banana on a pizza, not as much as that and obviously with other toppings such as ham. can't remember the exact details but i liked it.

Home made effort tonight, using a pre made pizza base from the supermarket. Base was a bit biscuity and didn’t rise much. I suppose they use baking powder rather than yeast, to get the necessary shelf life.
Lidl pepperoni, red pepper, onion and plenty of cheese made for a decent topping. I made a tomato sauce with blended plum toms, tomato purée, rice wine vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, garlic, Tabasco and black pepper. Was ok.
Cooking time was a bit too long for the toppings, but I had to do it to get the underneath cooked, even using a Teflon mesh mat.
