Everything has to get fucked around with these days. Nothing can be left alone without every cunt with a recipe page trying to outdo everyone else and mess with stuff that doesn't need messing with. This thread is slightly bewildering. I always thought the best ones are just made with decent chipolatas and streaky bacon. I'd never entertained the idea of glazes and whatnot. I'm not sure I'm entirely convinced. But it's probably worth an experiment.

Chocolate in mince pies for instance. Wankers.
I like them but they're overrated. Never make them but wont turn them down. They're not a part of my Christmas dinner. Stuffing is better.
Nah I'm alright ta. I'm not saying I don't like them but I prefer the components separately and in Christmas dinner I'd rather have extra stuffing. Proper sausagemeat stuffing, not that Paxo sawdust. They're nice enough to pick on at a party but I'd never want them for my tea.You clearly need to make better ones.
Even just Aldi chipolatas and steaky bacon are a massive step up from anything premade.

Buy your favourite sausages and empty them, then add whatever you fancyI'm doing Xmas Dinner for the family this year, first time in years. I may well have to find some sausage meat stuffing.
Pigs in blankets as well though. Obviously.

Have you tried the Greggs ones yet? I'm waiting for your review before IHad lots of people poo poo PIB but they have eaten a sausage wrapped in bacon. Not a lovingly prepared, marinated and glazed sticky PIB on their plates.

I actually bought a meat grinder that plugs to the food processor a while back for making sausages. This sounds like a good use for it!

Chipolatas pricked then marinated in rum with diced red onion, pink peppercorns, cloves and seasoning for 24 hours.
Will get the streaky bacon and glaze readied this afternoon.
They look pretty good to me. Mind you, I’ve not yet eaten today, so I’m close to eating the chair I’m sitting on.7.5/10
Still a bit of work to do before Winterval day
Just a little more sweetness and stickiness needed. They look pretty good to me. Mind you, I’ve not yet eaten today, so I’m close to eating the chair I’m sitting on.
