Most of central Asmara is built in the style of that petrol station, an amazing example of fascist architecture and urban planning.

I like that "accommodation for 100 cars" bit. It sounds less like " we have space for 100 cars" and more as though some chap is going to feed and groom them, somehow.

I wonder why wooden petrol stations with thatched roofs went out of fashion.

I particularly like the Art Deco, Streamline Moderne, Googie and Brutalist designs.
