Photographer prints really big images from smartphone and compares with results from a 'proper' camera

Obviously, it would be a different story if the subject was sports or low light photography, but this is a great no-nonsense comparison.

In short: you're hard pressed to tell the difference on landscape images.

It makes me wonder why these outlets published this and yet rejected my very similar piece, entitled "Man stands further away from thing and declares it 'looks OK from here'"

I am not surprised by this, phone cameras are getting better and better and I think iPhone cameras are among the best out there.

Indeed I think I have seen other projects like this, I recall someone printing phone images next to dslr images, and asking people to chose which was which, or was that MFT images and FF images, actually it might have been that. Oh well.
