There was indeed a certain amount of pity for Moat on here at the time, the fact that he'd shot a copper is always worth a few brownie points in some quarters. Turned out he was a bit of a folk hero for the far right too.
As for Rathband I've mixed feelings. Was the wife beating before he was shot? But the nightmare that happened to him I wouldn't wish on anyone and it's difficult to not have sympathy for him, his suffering must have been unimaginable. I know others get through similar without killing themselves, but I'm certainly in no position to judge.
I feel for his poor family and his parents must be suffering so much too.

I assumed the thread was about somebody who'd just died in tragic circumstances. Show some fucking respect.
What totally amazes me is that in a post where I genuinely sympathise with Rathband's family, you stumble in and have a hiisy-fit over the bit about Moat having admirers on the far right, (which the link proves he does - unless you think Louise Baldock made those comments up). Why the fuck does it worry you that he has? Are you a secret Moat admirer yourself? Were you hoping to claim him for your own little clique of anarcho-toffs or something?
The far right are generally more pro law and order (and by extension, more sympathetic to rathband) than they are for working class men sticking their head above the parapet to sock it to the man (as evidenced by their anti union stance and it's not very patriotic to assault one of the queen's attack dogs). Some of the nutters may have gone against the grain because of their attraction to extreme violence - but i'd say that's the exception, rather than the rule.
I know you're one of the tolerated numpties but really do some fucking research before you put fingers to keyboard.

Certainly some of the EDL rhetoric I have read leans towards condeming OB for being tools of a neo-marxist state who only go to town on white on minority crimes and ignore muslim on white crimes.
