Paye as you earn, Self Employment and Benefits?

Hi, I just have a few questions regarding the title. I lost my job at the beginning of January and have been living off my savings since, if I don't manage to find a job within the next 3 months I might make a claim for the first time in 4 years with The Job Centre (Universal Credit Area) which points me to my first question. If I claim how much is too much for them to decline or be at a reduced rate with income based job seekers?

Second question if I decided to do some self employment and a part-time job and didn't hit the £11.8k personal allowance would I still be expected to declare my earnings or is it only for those who go way above the tax threshold? When I say self employment I'm talking more about website advertising, YouTube and Twitch as a side hobby not so much a full-time job earning thousands a month. Earnings would be miniscule in comparison under self employment. Unless I hit the big-time which is as unlikely as hitting the jackpot in the lottery, still it's something I would like to give a shot.

Third question if I manage to secure a full-time or even part-time job and the self employment was going okay do both sets of earnings stack or are they treated as separate entities? Paye as you earn says you must be earning £174 per week before you pay NIC and £11.8k a year before you pay income tax. Self Employment the last time I checked said you must earn like 6k before you pay tax or something, I can't say I have ever done much research on it. The little reading I did do was only talking about one or the other and not how it would work if you're doing both.

I think that concludes the questions for now. Typing on the phone can be a real pain at times, hopefully didn't' scuff it all up.

UC - at £6000 you start losing money. It's £4.35 for each £250 above 6k. At £16000 you lose all UC.

I'm not sure about the other questions, hopefully someone else can help.

I think if you're self employed you need to do a tax return no matter how little you earn, if that's your second question.
