It might be modern authentication, but I'd have expected this to hit you last year.
Delete the account totally from Outlook and try again.

yes i deleted it but when trying to set it up again its the same problem. Looks like its a goner for good then
why do they fix stuff thats not broke? Not just kindles too , a mate has a IPAD and its done the same to him

Yes, just to verify it wasn't your account. It sounds like an authentication problem. If you've removed the account and added it again I might try and reinstall the app.

Have you updated the kindle to the latest settings? I'd make sure that's done then re-install outlook.

Hmm. I thought this was just me.
I had to renew my office365 on my laptop and my outlook disappeared. But it still works on my phone.
I wish I knew how to get it back on my laptop.

Sign in to you account with webmail and you'll have an option to download office.
is this something you do on the device or is it somewhere in amazon?

I suspect if your device connects to wifi, then there'll be some way of updating it on its own to the latest settings like how phones do.
