I can see planets and brighter stars out the back - even saw Mercury alongside the moon out the front the other morning.

I only started taking an interest since one night I was lying in bed, saw a red "star" and remembered my new phone could have a star map - and lo and behold it was Mars.

If I was really keen and didn't have the lurgy, I could cycle about 9 miles down the railway path ...

Well, if you can see Orion's belt tonight, you'll probably stand a reasonable chance of spotting a few orionids,
