Open gardens and Squares - now booking

I see that you now have to pay to visit the gardens and squares, which is a bugger. None the less, this weekend will give you access to some places whcih are not normally open to the public. Sadly and unsurprisingly, Wandsworth prison is not opening it's gardens anymore. I see that No 10 is on the list and like some others is by ballot only. A chance to get a sneaky peek at buildings that you would not otherwise be able to do so.

I like Open Gardens been going for a number of years now.
Last year I was a volunteer steward - going to do it again this year, I don't know where yet.

Not only do you have to pay, but you have to pay to visit squares that are free to visit the other 363 days of the year.

Yes, that can happen - same with Open House weekend, quite a few of the places you can visit any time.
You have to be selective - I go for things that you can't normally see.
