UPDATE -OMG you lot, we have been moved to tears by your lovely comments and for the 105 shares of this post! Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts but PLEASE don't stop! Share the post, tell your friends, Mother, Grampy. Buy tickets as soon as you can and we will make this the best O.U.T WEST for her swan song.

This is our 6th year and it’s been a helluva ride. After a long weekend’s deliberations, we’ve decided to make this the last Once Upon a Time in the West Festival, so lets make 2019 the best one and go out with a bang!!!! We will continue to work with other events both locally and nationally and do have a few ideas on the burner for a different style of event, in the coming years.

There are several reasons behind this decision, not least that we are completely self-funded ( ie - WE DON'T USE ANY OF THE TICKET MONEY TO PAY UPFRONT COSTS - IT'S ALL TOTALLY PROTECTED AND HELD BY THE TICKET AGENCY - WE RECEIVE THE TICKET MONEY AFTER THE EVENT - INCLUDING SALES FROM OUTLETS). Every year, we try to keep the ticket prices as low as possible, but again we have seen the cost of the festival go up and as festival goers across festivals are leaving ticket purchases to the last minute,we just can’t keep self funding the event.

So we need everyone to come together to make this last one the one to remember. Tell your friends how amazing it is! IF YOU WERE THINKING ABOUT BUYING TICKETS THEN YOU NEED TO GET THEM THIS WEEK - WE CAN’T STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!! Let’s see if we can whip up the biggest storm of a purchasing frenzy ever to have been witnessed in small festival land!!!! We have faith in you Lovelies!!!!

Sadly a decision is being made on Monday on whether this goes ahead now, due to not selling enough tickets. If anyone was thinking of going, please buy tickets this weekend! Weekend tickets are £85 and there are also day tickets for £30 which include a night's camping.

Wot I wrote about last year's

It was a great festival wasn't it? We had the best time. Standouts were Subgiant (I've kept missing seeing them for years! Finally! I shall be seeking them out again), The Back Wood Redeemers (missed the Boot Hill Gang, and also Ferocious Dog as I had to leave Sunday evening :(), Los Albertos, Swinghoppers, Smerin's Anti-Social Club, and possibly Imprints (think that's who it was).

Smallest festival I've ever been to (about 1,000 I believe), but it certainly punches above it's weight in terms of music. And a lovely vibe, very friendly and a good smattering of silly fun stuff. Limited food choices but what I had was mostly nice (and friendly stallholders), plus good beer/cider (I'm told, I only tried one sort). Kids things were good, climbing wall, wood crafts, oversize Connect 4 and Jenga, card board box city, painty stuff!

What's so good about a small festival is you're only a step away from different music if you want a change. It was stonkingly hot, so it was nice not to have to walk far, and the shade of the main tent was much appreciated.

Lovely festival run by lovely people, highly recommend :)

Bumping this one last time in case there's anyone wanting to come.

The deadline to buy tickets is 7PM TONIGHT (MONDAY 10TH).

After that a decision will be taken on whether it goes ahead based on whether enough have been sold. The organisers ( Flounder ) have said "Just to reiterate..... all ticket money is held by the agent until after the event and you will get a full refund of your ticket money if the event doesn't go ahead ( the booking fee stays with the agent)."

It's near Trowbridge, Wiltshire, Fri 12th - Sun 14th July, weekend tickets are £85, day tickets with one night's camping £30.

As you will know by now, we will always be honest with you, WE NEED TO SELL LOTS MORE TICKETS. We just cannot afford to bank-roll the event and risk losing what to us is a not-so-small fortune
We will be making the decision on MONDAY as to whether this years event can continue or not. SO! If you want to come to OUT West 2019, you have to buy your tickets by Monday evening at 7pm.
You can help, I believe that we can do this. SHARE this post, BUY a ticket. TELL your friends, colleagues and everyone.

Really sorry to hear that it's proving tough to make it economically viable. I hope you hit the target!

It's off, I believe. A shame for all those involved, but sadly there seem to be more festivals than punters nowadays.
