Noisy electrics(?) box near ceiling

Housing association had people in doing some kind of electrical checks today. Just got home and this box is now making quite a loud rattley buzzing type sound (it's always been silent before).



I'll get a sparks to look at it when they're back tomorrow but in the meantime does anyone want to guess wtf this is and how I get it to shut up?

Percussive maintenance had no effect.

I've not tried poking something into the gaps in the bottom to see if the cover comes away from the wall yet, need a cup of tea before I risk falling off a stepladder or electrocuting myself.

Prettty sure it’s a doorbell chime.
Might be on its way out.
Or stuck, which means it could overheat.
Have you got a bell push to erm, push?

Going outside and smacking the doorbell a few times has fixed it

I feel like I should thank you but at the same time I'm kind of disappointed it was fixed so quickly and easily.
