New film by people who did 300?

I caught the end of a trailer on the telly but haven't seen it since


It's due for release on 1st Jan. Anyone know what it is?

It might actually be The Spirit, if it's in the same style as graphic novel style of Sin City. It's by the makers of both films.

If it was Watchmen, it's not due for release 1 January. It's due March 2009.

ETA: Oops others beat me to it. Frank Miller wrote 300 and did the screenplay for The Spirit (as well as directing it).
