Neil Macgregor banging on about objects again on R4

Last month R4 put a poet in a helicopter to see what would happen (the result a poem about a helicopter). This month bloody Neil Macgregor is going on about objects again. How long until Clare Balding returns with her utterly boring drivel about sport?

Every time I hear one of these shows I picture the North London dinner party where the idea is formulated..

He tells a story of a time and place in history based around an object from that time and place. What not to like?

I like the series, seems as if it may have been pitched for TV but works really well on radio; pictures being better etc.
