Music Publishing - Any Advice?

(theres some threads on this but they are from over ten years ago so probably not that up to date)

Any advice on getting music published, employing a publisher or getting a publishing deal?

Ive got what I think are some pretty decent songs that might find a home with some proffesional plugging - but dont really know where to start. Was wondering if anyone has any expericence, advice or knowledge on this?

I couldn't offer advice but my first stop if I were you would be the Musicians' Union, they'd have plenty of advice with regards to this sort of thing.

Sorry, I’m not up to date. I discontinued my MU membership, but Oldboy is right, that’s where I’d go first.
