Question Moving on from Aperture

sim667

All aboard the 303 bus.
So I’ve been using Aperture for years, on a 2008 Mac Pro that isn’t going to last forever.

I’m thinking about moving onto lightroom, the cloud based one which is £10 a month with 1TB storage.

I just wondered if anyone uses this package and how they find it? Also how they’ve found migrating a aperture library over?

It might be a bit of work, but it looks like you can import Aperture to Lightroom Classic. Then you could import that into Lightroom CC to move it to the cloud.

I have the Photography plan (also includes Photoshop, but only 20GB storage), but assuming it's the same you'll also have access to the mobile version of Lightroom. I've recently started shooting in RAW on my phone and editing with that which is useful for times I can't be bothered lugging a camera about. The results are pretty good too, my last couple of posts on the photo thread are phone shots.

I don’t think it will import adjustments though.

I’ve seen an app called avalanche that may do
