Can I move it ?
I hate to waste anything and it's a beautiful big plant ,but, its in the way .
Has anybody done such a thing ?

No, but I am thinking of moving mine from the back garden to the front.

Although apparently people will think I'm a swinger.

There's a pun about moving attention from your front garden in there, but I wouldn't dream of doing it. ;)

Scott Mills was talking about this a couple of weeks ago. There's someone at work we're convinced is a swinger and I'm dying to ask if she has one. :D

I've tried to dig one out one before, it was a bloody nightmare. Ended up burning the thing out in the end, a huge amount of roots.... I'd recommend getting it tied up tight with plenty of rope before you go anywhere near it with a shovel, especially if you like that soft tissue that covers your bones. ;)

It's a bugger to move. The roots go really deep and the grass itself can cut you to ribbons.

this & and to tying it up.
only done it the once, in a small garden in greenwich, took 2 of us at least half a day, crazy roots and massive crater left at the end, lots and lots of digging.

plenty of cuts too, was not fun trying to get it through the house to the front, good luck!
