I suspect someone got so carried away with reviewing The Wizard's two goals they forgot about the other one in between until after putting the reel together!

I never knew why Tom left. I thought he was incredibly good for the club: he massively developed the media side of things, was an excellent communicator and he clearly loved DHFC. Does anyone know why he disappeared so suddenly?

I'm assumimg, possibly incorrectly, that the media team are paid. I'd never want to discourage anyone from volunteering and it's great that we have live commentary of matches and video highlights. I was simply, in my own way, belatedly mourning the loss of the man who got the whole thing started and was very, very good!

There's only one paid role as far as I'm aware, which was originally filled by Tom and now by Kian. I believe Tom left due to a disagreement over the scope of the role's duties, which may have been down to a change in circumstances following relegation to a lower profile league.

I'm not sure whether any of those fulfilling the audio and video services get any payment on a piecemeal basis, beyond match admission, but I doubt it. There are probably a lot of media students willing to do voluntary work in order to gain experience and expand their CV as a stepping stone to building a career, in which case it's a mutually beneficial arrangement. When I volunteered with the media team I already had a 5 year season ticket, but I got free admission to cup and pre-season matches and a guest pass for away games, which was more than enough for me personally as a long-term supporter happy to "do my bit". I was also offered a place on the team coach when there was one, although I generally preferred to travel under my own steam.

Further to my previous post, matchday media volunteers also get a few food and drink freebies in the boardroom, as well as exclusive access to matchday cabaret hosted by "El Presidente" Jack Payne!
