Just to clarify the music/storage thing. Professional Pro Tools session files can get big very quickly. A modern rock record of the style he made can easily have over 100 tracks in it. I've no doubt he would have had a full Pro Tools rig at home for working on stuff. It's just standard now.
A 4 minute song with 100 different parts in it, all recorded at 24 bit/192Khz will take up something like 13 gig of storage space. And thats just one song when finally edited...

Anyway I read the judge's remarks. What strikes me, along with the sheer disgusting nature of these crimes, is the mindset talked about earlier and mentioned in the link earlier. The mindset that still had him thinking he could in some way distance himself from them. That drug use, megalulz, whatever, somehow made it not a thing he'd done. The arogannt, deluded incredulity.
I heard similar weezley denials and ludicrous excuses when for work once, I sometimes had to listen to interviews concerning Operation Ore. Fortunately although I never heard anything this bad, I always had a respect for the interviewing officers restraint. Imagine those sat opposite Watkins,, putting stuff to him, listening, having to resist burying him in the wall.

agree with you... The religious answer is love the sinner hate the sin, which is easy to say, but difficult to imagine how that actually works in practice.
I also feel sorry for the rest of the band, his ex girlfriends etc- you'd forever be looking back wondering if you missed something, every memory would be tainted.
