Lost Prophets...

They're quite young too, aren't they? So they could potentially have more children (though surely they'd be removed at birth)

There's no "surely" about it. AFAICR there's no legislation compelling removal. Each case has to be judged on an individual basis, so a post-prison child, while it would be highly likely to be monitored, wouldn't necessarily be removed without cause (and having been imprisoned for an offence in the past isn't necessarily cause, especially as for one of the women, the psych report assessed her as having a low likelihood of re-offending.

Not even going to try reading the sentencing. What I know already is grim enough.

Mostly the judge's remarks elucidate the actual offences which, if you're not used to reading stuff like that, is pretty horrendous. The sentencing part isn't as explicit, and mostly refers to the various criminal acts as "count number X".
I wouldn't advise anyone who isn't already somewhat hardened to this stuff to read it though. It took me weeks to get over reading the first child abuse case study I studied for my masters, and I was forewarned, so to speak. :(

The police took away 27 terabytes worth of memory (that's not all child/animal porn obv) but that's a lot of memory. What requires such memory?

That surprises me... She did something unspeakable because a famous guy she fancied told her to- what happens when she meets some other famous bloke? I guess Social Services have to judge each case, I'm not saying there should be a blanket law, but surely (that word again!) these women won't be allowed access to children?

Mary Bell was allowed to have a child after she left prison, and although she and the child were monitored, nothing ever occurred that gave social services reason to remove the child.
