Local Elections May 5th 2022

Could you imagine Johnson and Starmer duelling?

Johnson would hide in a fridge and send Fabricant out as his second hoping nobody would notice.

Starmer would forensically examine the duelling rule book to find a way of avoiding taking part, meanwhile Wes Streating would push a passing Jeremy Corbyn into the line of fire.
Bring it on.

Nowt like a little fear to stir the hearts o the Torygraph. Ain’t they forgetting that most want rid of NI?

I think Telegraph readers couldn't really care one way or another about NI. Of course they love the idea of England being at the heart of a United Kingdom and would prefer that it doesn't shrink.

But actually caring about NI politics? Not really. Having the unionist votes to pass all the brexit votes in the Commons was useful, but now that's all done, tories here don't give a toss about the DUP.

To them NI is both small and far away

He got 554 votes! (he's straight off the Tory 'floppy-haired public schoolboy' production line isn't he?)

They stick them in no-hoper seats for a couple of cycles to get used to the process then offer them somewhere safe once they reach a certain maturity.

Just seen the papers down the coop and the cunt press is reporting this like Labour lost or something and ‘Boris’ is still a heroic character. Looks like satire.

All finished in Tower Hamlets. 24 Aspire. 19 Labour, 1 Tory and 1 Green, who's taken a seat from Labour in Bow West.
Rabina Khan (Labour/Tower Hamlets First/PATH/Liberal Democrats, and Mayoral candidate a couple of times) is out, as is the Independent Tory.

I can't believe they've taken so long to declare, it's bonkers.

Mind you, there's still one more council left to declare in England. 🤷‍♂️

As part of the response to past 'controversies' the count here was split in two - Mayoral count yesterday, Council count today.

As far as I'm concerned they're all counts. However while I don't support any of the fuckers the one's I don't support the most are fucking Tower Hamlets Labour so there is a grim smile playing across my face at the moment. I've accumulated multiple reasons for that over the years but to take the most recent rage flash point, the fire and rehire of staff they engaged in in 2020.
