I feel a bit better now.Lib Dems always do OK in local elections don't they? I guess it's also some wet Tories protest voting.
Where is this total? Guardian has -397 and I couldn't even see a count on the BBC News site. Am I blind?
Wasn't that just England? They just said 340 on the radio 4 news.
And the coalition?
That’s -129 and not full for England yet.
With Scotland and Wales to come , could be over 400/500 seats lost

Turnout was 49%Basically yeah, as far as I can tell. There is some scope locally for anti-LTN types to vote Tory I guess.
The local Orthodox Jews are not monolithic but I think a lot of them will vote en masse how community leaders suggest they do.
Not seen a breakdown but there isn't usually a particularly large turnout either.
wrestling with its conscienceNo surprise to see the right-wing Guardian minimising / playing down Tory losses....
Can't agree that the Guardian is right wing. It reflects the concerns and aspirations of the well-to-do elements of the liberal left (a poison to society). As does, to all intents and purposes and for all the well-off liberal lefties wring their hands about it, the contemporary Tory party,No surprise to see the right-wing Guardian minimising / playing down Tory losses....

Phew.I was joking ffs
Only if you think a government that essentially agrees with the Tories on almost every issue is worth the effort.Writing from afar the Libdem resurgence does seen to bode well for those who want the Tories out in the next election. Councillors are absolutely essential as activists on the ground to build the vote and Libdems taking votes from the Tories are very useful to causing them to lose a GE. Not a reason to support them - but worth bearing in mind.
You just know he's a cunt.
That will not surprise any of the presenters at GBnewsWoking has fallen to the lib dems
