Momentum statement as quoted in the guardian live blog -
seems pretty persuasive to me.
business as usual thengreat to have the first knives out for labour... from the labour party.
Me too. Same time, whenever I see anything from Momentum, I tend to think 'Momentum eh, why are they still bothering? That moment has been and gone'. Anyway, very much for another thread.Momentum statement as quoted in the guardian live blog -

I dont know whats happening in Scotland but if its similar to Wales I think they'll lose 300 maxThat’s -129 and not full for England yet.
With Scotland and Wales to come , could be over 400/500 seats lost

Certainly not the first knives out tbh . I'm not close enough to argue with the role of their supporters but the rest of their statement I don't have much problem with. What's your point of disagreement with their position?great to have the first knives out for labour... from the labour party.
I think thats the big story of these elections, The public have just given up on politics...exactly what the scumbag tories wantThe people have spoken and it's a landslide.
With between 60% and 80% of the vote abstain is the big winner in these local elections, performing even better than usual.
And as usual the reasons for abstain's stunning victory will be swept under the carpet as people stare really hard trying to read the tea leaves for signs of where a future general election might end up. As usual people haven't been given a compelling reason to spend 20 minutes wandering down to the polling station to vote for some self-important, besuited weirdo representing parties led by sociopaths, crooks incompetents and non-entities so they can strut about acting like they have some power over the hollowed out ruins of local councils.
Tories are currently 20 down.I dont know whats happening in Scotland but if its similar to Wales I think they'll lose 300 max
The LibDems are a much stronger party at the local level than they are at the Westminster level. I don't think you can equate the two beyond saying that yes, they would pick up some votes. What I read into the above chart is that the LibDems had the biggest shift , Cons deserting etc. You could predict a similar, lesser trend in a general election?
good time to start kicking them thenTories are currently 20 down.
yeh whereas nothing is in fact further from the truth. what you really mean is they're being offered nothing by these remaindered poundshop politicos whose sorry parties retail nothing fit for human consumptionI think thats the big story of these elections, The public have just given up on politics...exactly what the scumbag tories want
figure ive seen so far is turnout is projected to be down about 1.5%-2% on the last similiar electionThe people have spoken and it's a landslide.

Unfortunately that'll leave him free time to keep posting on here.Meanwhile in Central Worthing - Christopher Woodward, 'Freedom Alliance. Stop the Great Reset.' - 46 votes.
Turnout across Reading is a tiny, tiny bit up on the last comparable election. We'll see what that looks like at ward level.figure ive seen so far is turnout is projected to be down about 1.5%-2% on the last similiar election
Actually, scratch that it's 1.4% down at 34.6%.Turnout across Reading is a tiny, tiny bit up on the last comparable election. We'll see what that looks like at ward level.
Freedom for Worthing! Long Live The Revolution!Labour is trashing the Tories in Worthing, holding all their seats and now a 3rd gain from the Tories!
That's it, they have taken overall control of the council, which is remarkable considering they took their first seat ever only 5 years ago!
Not any more. Boundary changes seem to have shifted it to straddle the river from what I can make out.Thames ward is Central Cav isn’t it?
