Libya - civil unrest & now NATO involvement

"We are not Egypt and Tunisia"

No, this regime looks like it's going to fall faster than either

I notice that he's become more physically animated.
Not at all as controlled as when he started.

What a load of stupid bollocks.
The man is making himself look a fool.

He's saying the people are armed and Libya has not future. And his main argument, what about our US projects!!!

This is a very long suicide note. At least Sulamein made it brief.

Hmmm - this is likely to send the oil price rocketing up - Libya is a major exporter of oil and gas to europe.

Possible shortages?

Now he's getting angry

The bbc should not have the lower part of the screen obscured, I want to watch his hands.
They talk a different story - desperate.

Get ready for chaos

Making some waffly concessions - this is not making them look strong and in control is it?

Dont Panic Mr Mannerring!

I see there's a speech of some sort going on from reading here and twitter (3g payg atm). It is not going down well on twitter:

Cyrenaican Libyana Americana
Please bumrush the studio

Is probably the nicest thing that has been said.

Oil tribe leader Zawari (?) threatened to cut off oil if they don't stop the crackdown. allegedly.

So predictable. Ben Ali, Mubarak, all the same. They refuse all calls for democratic accountability for decades and crush all opposition then, offer dialogue and democracy when their country burns around them. Too little, too late. History has overtaken them. He is so fucked.

Daddy sitting behind the camera cheering him on. "You tell em Saif"

Imperialists on ecstasy will rub your oil on their nipples while exiles drink coffee and laugh, sit on my facebook and tell me that you love me.

This speech and it's waffling has lent a lot of credibility to the claims that the people are winning. He's really fucking pleading.

This is turning into a declaration of war

" We will fight to the last Libyan"

I give him 48 hours

how can anyone out on the streets be anything but emboldend by this. He could only appear more desperate and scared if he had his passport and aeroplane tickets in his hand
